Life Update // We are moving back to Birmingham!

Life has been full of changes around here and I am excited to announce that we are moving back to Birmingham!! We bought this precious little cottage in Edgewood (all the details coming soon!) and we'll be loading up the car to make the cross country trek in just two short weeks!

Shortly after we found out we were pregnant, Max was offered an amazing job back in Birmingham. Despite our love for California, raising our baby close to family and friends is so important to us so we knew moving back South was the best thing for us. With the help of our families and wonderful realtor we were able to find a great little house and get everything in place to make the move. Now, as we enter into this next chapter, we are excited to have a home to call our own and be near family and friends as we welcome our baby boy this July!

When I reflect on this past year, it's hard to believe how much has changed and the wonderful ways that life has evolved for us. In a years time since we moved to California, I got a dream job at Anthropologie, developed friendships with some of the most amazing women I have ever known, and got pregnant with my first baby.

When we moved to California we knew it would be a year of adventure - we didn't know where it would lead or how long we would be on the west coast. After a whirlwind job experience in my first few months here, I found myself unemployed and unsure of what was next until I found myself at Anthropologie, a company I've always admired, as the new home stylist. Not only has this been my most fun and inspiring job, it's also led to friendships that I never dreamed I would make here in this short amount of time. Women that inspire me, make me laugh, and that I am heartbroken to say goodbye to. Being pregnant so far from home could have been a lonely experience but instead I have had the opportunity to share my pregnancy with two of my dearest friends from work - the three of us are each two weeks apart which has been the most incredible thing to experience together.

As we wrap up our year here in California, we are so thankful for the incredible experiences that we have had. We have met so many wonderful people, had many fun visits from family and friends, adventures and vacations and so many memories that we will cherish forever.

Life has a funny way of working out and leading you where you need to be. As we make our way back south, we're excited to see what is in store for us. We are so thankful to be able to plant our roots, make our house and home, and grow our little family!
