Celebrating 6 years and 6 months

I remember the night Max and I met like it was yesterday. It was at a college house party, he was the funny guy and made me laugh. A few months of friendship and football games later, we went to dinner together for the first time, just the two of us. The next week we had our first date; I remember what we ate, what we wore, who was there, but mostly how I felt. Before we knew it, we graduated, moved to different cities, and began long distance dating. It all feels like yesterday.
Tomorrow, Max and I will celebrate our 6 year dating anniversary, and 6 months until our wedding day. It's crazy to think that this will be out last "dating anniversary" after all of these years. I often think back to those difficult times during our long distance days when he would comfort me by saying "It's all part of our story", and it really was (and it really is) all part of our story. From those first wonderfully awkward days of dating, to long distance love and launching of careers, to finally building our life together and a wedding ahead. I love our story, and this is just the beginning.
Happy 6 year anniversary to you my dear Maxwell. I can't wait for the next 6.
