welcome spring!

There’s an amazing thing that happens this time of year. As soon as the sun comes out and the temperature starts to rise, people are awakened from their wintry daze and there is an energy and enthusiasm that you can just sense. Last weekend, on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning, I took bruce out for a walk down 2nd avenue and it was full of people walking, talking, gathering, and shopping, and every one of them had a glow about them – smiling and waving to one another and stopping to love on my little bruce-boy. As we made our way down the street, we were greeted by Steve, the owner of What’s on 2nd, who just couldn't get enough pug love and made us promise to come visit him again soon. We ventured on down the street and bumped into a friend we hadn’t seen in way too long and even met a group of 4th grade soccer players who were grabbing lunch before the big game. The sun was shining, trees were blooming, and people were happy.
Later that day, we head to railroad park where we ran into some friends and met their precious baby Jude. The park was full of people picnicking, jogging, and enjoying the warmth. After a fun filled day, we decided it was the perfect evening for Bruce’s first patio dinner at Rojo. We were immediately greeted with oohs and awws and puppy calls, and Bruce could not have been happier. We spent the evening soaking up what was left of that spring Saturday feeling with our friends Drew and Lindsay and their sweet baby Max, laughing and catching up as the Rojo patio buzzed with chatter.
It’s amazing how spring weather and a puppy will bring people together.
Happy Spring everyone!
