Life has been crazy lately in the best way! After our recent trip to San Fran, it's been non stop family and friends, celebrations, and adventures and I am so thankful for all of the love and fun that has come our way.
In late February, my aunt Cindy and cousin Casey came to visit and experience Southern California. My cousin Emily came down from LA and we all spent the day together exploring, brunching and giving them a taste of our life here. It was so nice to be together and show them around!
A few weeks later, Max and I headed to Birmingham to visit our families. I hadn't been back since we moved last May so it was so nice to visit some of our favorite people and places. Of course, we ate our way through the city - I'd been dreaming of O'Carrs chicken salad plate and it did not disappoint. I was excited to show off my growing baby bump and our mamas were excited to reminisce over our baby books, clothes and memories as we all prepare to welcome baby t!
Back at work, the birthday celebrations continued for our amazing boss lady Jamie and wonderful social media guru Nikki, complete with Krispy Kreme donuts. These sweet girls are what make me love my job everyday!
A few weeks later, I headed to Santa Monica with Jamie and our home shop manager Allison for training and the launch of the newly expanded Anthropologie Santa Monica store. These girls were my very first anthro pals - we went to Anthro Home Office in Philly for training together last summer and now we're all pregnant, and only a few weeks apart, with our first babies! We had the best time in Santa Monica and spent our evenings browsing baby stores, swapping pregnancy stories and indulging in ice cream at Sloan's (so good!!!). It has been so fun to be preggo with these girls and to share this crazy journey into motherhood. I am so thankful for our little tribe!
The next weekend, my best girlfriends Kate and Mags came to visit! Kate and her husband Niko and 18 month old Ella came from Savannah, and Mags and her husband Michael came from Tampa. It meant so much to us that they came all that way! We had the best time showing them some of our life here and we even made a trip out to Catalina with the Caps. I'm so thankful that after all these years and all this distance between us, we've all stayed such close friends. Seeing your childhood girlfriends grow up and start their own families is such a special thing.
A few weeks ago, my girlfriend Nikki took maternity photos for me and Max at the beautiful little corona beach and heisler park. Nikki is so incredibly talented and did such an amazing job making us so comfortable and capturing this exciting moment in our lives. I love the photos so much and know we will cherish them forever. (More photos coming soon!)
After our shoot, we joined some of my anthro babes for dinner, including baby grace who is just the cutest little thing! These women are all so inspiring and wonderful and keep me laughing everyday - I am so thankful for each and every one of them!
Next adventure? Gigi is coming to visit! My mom hasn't been to California since before Christmas so it will be so nice to have her here and spend time together. We're planning to take a little trip to San Diego and can't wait to explore together!
I am so thankful for all of the visits, adventures and friends in our life right now. With baby joining us this summer, I have a feeling that things are only going to get crazier but that's okay with me!
