We booked the Surfliner train from Santa Ana to Santa Barbara and saw amazing views along the way. |
We caught a beautiful sunset our first night at Stearns Wharf - the boats and mountains in the background was so scenic! |
We decided to rent bikes which was so much fun and turned out to be the best way to explore!
|
We biked to Butterfly Beach which was absolutely incredible - the views were breathtaking and there were really butterflies everywhere!
|
The courthouse was another must see. Beautiful historic architecture and breathtaking views from the clock tower! |
We had the best weekend and can't wait to go back! Next time, we'd love to check out some of the wineries and towns nearby.
Our Santa Barbara favorites:
The Funkzone : our favorite little arts district of shops, restaurants, breweries and tasting rooms
Fox Wine Co. : great local spot for wine, beer, and shopping all in one hipster space Area 51 : a quirky little tasting room in the funk zone, the owner Martin is quite the character

McConnells Ice Cream : so yummy!
The Lark : delicious family style restaurant with a wonderful charming ambiance, pricey but so worth it!
Lucky Penny : great little patio lunch spot in the Funkzone
The Shop : adorable little brunch place, delicious food and super charming - must go!
