a home tour // our birmingham loft

We're all settled in here in Birmingham and our loft is really starting to feel like home. It's so hard to photograph your own space, especially when all you have to work with is a busted iphone, but I just had to share it with you.  If you remember my post here, I really wanted our loft to be warm and inviting, and a reflection of both Max and me. Thanks to some unique pieces and amazing hand-me-downs from both of our moms, our place does just that. As always, it's a work in progress. My favorite thing about our loft is the great natural light and architectural character. The three huge windows bring in sunlight all day and cast the most amazing shadows in the evenings and early morning hours. The brick walls are so warm with texture and the beautiful hardwood floors are perfectly creaky. Pictures just don't do it justice. Turns out, loft living is right up our alley (pun intended).
