summer in the 'ham

Hello Summer! Our first weekend here in our new place also happened to be the first weekend of Summer. This is such a great a great time of year to get out and explore the city and while Birmingham is certainly not “new” to Max and I, there are so many things that we can’t wait to experience as locals. Here are my top ten things I'm looking forward to this summer in the 'ham.

1  //  Saturday mornings at Pepper Place farmers market

2  //  walking to El barrio for date night

3  //  checking out the local bar scene - Carrigan's, Pale Eddie's, Collins Bar, Paramount ... 

4  //  catching a concert at Rogue Tavern and Iron City

5  //  neighborhood brunching at Urban Standard & Trattoria Centrale

6  //  joining in on a free fitness classes at Railroad park 

7  //  thirsty thursday at the Barons game

8  //  catching the summer film series at the Alabama Theater
9  //  bike riding for a picnic in Railroad Park
10 //  trying out the local breweries - Trimtab, Good People, Avondale, Cahaba Brewing
