Last weekend, Max and I traveled to Charlotte, NC for a quick getaway and had the best time exploring the city! We hit the road on a beautiful Saturday morning and thanks to the great suggestions from a few of our local friends, and the Charlotte city guide from DesignSponge, we were able to soak up some of the best of the city. Below is a recap of the local hot-spots, delicious eats, and charming neighborhoods we discovered while we were there...
^^ the oh-so charming Dilworth neighborhood
^^ we loved the quirky atmosphere at The Common Market
^^ the neighborhoods were full of color and character
^^ brunching on the patio at Zada Jane's made us ready for spring!
We discovered The Common Market, Southend and fell in love
with this eclectic little spot.
Lunch at Cowfish, SouthPark was wild - a crazy concept but delicious food! My jalapeno burger was
legit.
We enjoyed the speakeasy atmosphere, local drafts, and free popcorn at Prohibition,
Uptown.
We didn't eat at Prices Chicken Coop, Southend but as we
walked by it smelled amazing and the line was around the door. It’s a must for
next time!
The flight of four at Growlers Pourhouse, NoDa is a great
way to sample what’s on draft and they have free popcorn here too! (I could get
used to this popcorn thing…)
Dinner at Cabo Fish Taco, NoDa was delicious and worth the
wait! We loved the carne asada taco, tuna taco, and avocado pasta salad. Yum!
NoDa and Plaza Midwood had the best local vibe! We loved seeing the funky houses and shops in these eccentric neighborhoods.
We brunched at the adorable Zada Jane’s, Plaza Midwood and loved their delicious food and pooch-friendly patio!
A few other places for next time:
Brunch at Halcyon
Tapas at Soul Gastrolounge
Tapas at Good Food on Montford
