1 // I learned something about myself this weekend... when it comes to artwork, I’m not one of those "beach scene" or “the woods at dusk” kind of people. At the Birmingham Magic City Art Connection, I found myself drawn to 1: cow prints and 2: colorful representations of everyday objects, like these great pieces from Birmingham artist Jayne Morgan. I mean, how great would these be in a beach house or funky restaurant? I've always loved cow prints so that’s nothing new, but while nobody needs a large painting of honeybears or coronas I find these so playful and fun! Jayne Morgan has got a unique collection that I have fallen in love with. The colors are just incredible!
2 // Finding a Pinterest recipe that tastes as good as the picture looks is quite the accomplishment if I do say so myself, and these blueberry lemon bars are delish! The recipe is super simple and the lemon bars are light and tangy, perfect for a sweet summery treat. They are a must try! Original recipe from Lick the Bowl Good here.
3 // This happy kitchen makes my heart sing. I'm inspired by spaces that feel well lived-in and loved and this space exudes just that. The cheery kelly green cabinets and shelves showcasing the colorful pieces are retro-cool in the best way. A collection of worn kettle pots over the industrial stove are the perfect balance to the playful decor and the crisp white walls make it all pop. Who wouldn't want to cook in a kitchen this vibrant and fun!?
Happy Monday! May your week be filled with lots of lovely things.
