My most recent Birmingham adventure was with my boyfriend Max to the Alabama Theater for the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine Skit Night. The Alabama theater is a beautiful historic landmark of Birmingham and made for an elegant and beautiful night out. Skit night was a hilarious, and surprisingly thought out, program showcasing talents, humor, and making fun of everyone you can imagine. I of course am incredibly proud of Max and his accomplishments thus far in medical school but seeing the sense of humor and friendships that are also being formed was a whole 'nother side of medical school I was excited to see. The camaraderie and jokes were enough to make me want to go to med school... well... without the science or math or blood.
