McDonalds gets a makeover

This modern sleek image is far from the kiddie zone and golden arches were acustomed to, believe it or not this is a MCDONALDS! A new plan to launch a total makeover campaign for McDonalds will launch next year, "allocating $2.4 billion to redo at least 400 domestic outposts, refurbish 1,600 restaurants abroad, and build another 1,000". This major re-evaluation of the McDonald's image is geared towards shifting it's reputation as  "a place to run through for food" and making it an affordable and appealing dining option. "People eat with their eyes first," says president and COO Don Thompson. "If you have a restaurant that is appealing, contemporary, and relevant both from the street and interior, the food tastes better." Quite a concept, and quite a new look. It makes me want a big mac just thinking about it!
