Speaking of our sweet little garden, here it is... Isn't it great? It's growing beautiful cucumbers, tomatoes, basil and jalapenos, we're still waiting on the squash and watermelon...Turns out my mama has quite the green thumb!
keep it fresh
Homemade salsa is one of my favorite summer snacks. This year, I am keeping it fresh with jalapenos and tomatoes from our very own garden, we're quite proud of our delicious homegrown veggies, just look at that perfect jalapeno!
Here's what you need:
soft ripe tomatoes
jalapenos
purple onion
sweet onion
garlic
fresh cilantro
lime juice
cumin
salt & pepper
(add a can or two of rotel if you
don't have enough fresh tomatoes)

Yum, Enjoy!!
delicious
Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a foodie. I love foods of all kinds... ethic, southern, seafood, you name it.
While perusing the June issue of Contract Magazine, these images in particular caught my eye. Of course, I should say because of the interesting lights and the design aesthetic, but actually it was because these pictures say it all. They are not vintage signs, colorful paintings or blown up images of noodles or vegetables, instead they capture the moment that all chefs and restaurants are aiming for, that moment of diving in whole hog because its THAT delicious. They showcase the joy of great food.
I can identify with these people- Go for it little girl, you eat that pasta!!
