a trip to plains georgia

A few weeks ago my family and I traveled down South to visit our relatives, the Mills. The Mills family roots are in Plains Georgia (home of Jimmy Carter) where my grandfather Robert Mills was raised. After meeting my grandmother, Della Mae McGlamary, the two married and moved to Warner Robbins Georgia to raise their three girls - Leisa, Cindy and my mother Kathy. This trip down South quickly became a trip down memory lane and back to a simpler way of life. The pecan orchards, dirt roads, and tractors driving down Main Street were a refreshing change from the daily grind. Seeing relatives that we haven't seen in years and reminiscing over fond family memories brought back a sense of home. It was great to enjoy the beauty and simplicity of Plains Georgia.
