The new victorians is a big trend mixing the traditional victorian style with bold, clean details of the present. At a recent conference with House Beautiful Design Institute we discussed this up-and-coming style and the details that set it apart, one of the most interesting? Taxidermy!!! Believe it or not, this "taxidermy look" is coming back in a big way. For those of us who are animal lovers, or are simply creeped out by the real McCoy there are all kinds of options to add this unique new victorian flare to your space. For example, a more artistic taxidermy option such as these which are made of paper-mache newsprint, the youthful blow-up moose heads, or the replica versions. Taxidermy is one of the many unique aspects of this look, but definitely one that will serve as a conversation piece!
